Exceptional Moisture Absorption
One of the most important features of the Matrix dirt-trapper mat is its high moisture-retention capacity. The mat can hold up to 4–5 litres of moisture per square metre.
The raised rubber border surrounding the mat acts as a water-retaining barrier, helping prevent moisture collected on the mat from spreading onto the surrounding floor.
This makes Matrix particularly suitable for entrances where shoes carry in large amounts of water, snow and slush.
Effectively Traps Dirt and Sand
The Matrix dirt-trapper mat does more than just collect moisture. Its textured surface also helps remove dirt, sand, and other loose debris from the soles of shoes.
With a stated dirt retention capacity of up to 1,000 g/m², Matrix helps trap dirt in the mat instead of allowing it to spread further indoors.
Raised Surface and Water-Retaining Rubber Border
The textured surface of Matrix combines effective shoe sole cleaning with moisture absorption.
The rubber border surrounding the dirt-trapping mat helps keep water contained within the mat area. In this way, Matrix provides an effective first line of defense at the entrance, especially during rainy or snowy weather.
Non-Slip Nitrile Rubber Backing
Matrix features a textured nitrile rubber core and nitrile rubber backing. The rubber backing provides a supportive structure and excellent grip on the floor.
The mat also has an NFSI High-Traction rating.
Construction Incorporating Recycled Materials
The surface material of Matrix consists of 50% polyester and 50% polypropylene. Of the surface material, 50% is made from recycled materials.
Recycled materials are also used in the rubber construction: 15% of the rubber material in the nitrile rubber core and backing is recycled rubber.
